Finally found - another pair of the famous artist and sculptor, Gladys Brown's copper horse bookends. These are thoroughbreds. They are just fabulous --- so large in size and haughty in demeanor, they measure 7" tall, by 4" deep, by 6" wide. The copper finish is beautiful, and the old green felt is still on the bottom.

The Dodge Inc. Company, also famous for its casting of bronze, copper and brass items, in Los Angeles, during the 1940's did these bookends after Gladys Brown sculpted them -- and they are so marked: Gladys Brown, Dodge Inc., 1946.
