Dr. Harley Niblack was a CHIROPRACTOR in Denver, Colorado and lived near City Park. He worked 20 hours or more a day, requiring little sleep! He used dental tools extensively in carving his woodworks. Dr. Niblack worked closely with Walt Disney on many projects. He incorporated his own system of motors and pulleys to make many of his hand carved dioramas move. He had an extraordinary sense of humor and was able to bring it out in his "wild western" carvings.

There is a museum dedicated to him and his works in Custer, South Dakota. We have visited this site and it is very educational and informative. Tom Bice likes to make furniture using Dr. Niblack's techniques. We were allowed to photograph everything in the museum!
